The Earth Ship

While in New Mexico, my dream of staying in an earthship came true. I am definately going to build one.

Slow Goin'

So it's been a month since my last post. This is going to be a slow project due to money factors, and lots of traveling and moving, but it will get done. Last month I went to New Mexico with my mom and Bob, and then came home and a few days later I went to Virginia to do a show. Oh did I mention that I'm moving at the end of this month. Talk about busy!!! This past friday, my co-worker and I got the tires off, and I went and got brand new ones. We put them on with almost no problems. At one point the jack was tilted, and the trailer almost tipped over onto us, but it didn't, and we're fine. This week I plan to take the bearings out and clean them, and then find someone who will tow it down to Olympia for me. Once in Olympia it will sit until I get back from New York July 11th. Then the serious work will begin!

The Visit

So I went and took a third look at my new trailer yesterday. I stood inside and envisioned everything all new and fresh and got really excited. I can't believe I waited so long to take a cross country trip. I can remember when I was around my early twenties talking to Jessica about doing this, but for some reason it never happened for me. I think she took a trip across the country with Jenny at some point. Yeah for us all. I'm glad I have such supportive friends and family. I'm thanking everyone in advance because I will be pulling up in your driveways soon. I'm going to take a picture of my trailer today and post it.

The actual trailer

So I think a lot of you think that this trailer is mine. I'm sorry to say that it is not. My trailer is very raw. I will post some pictures of it when I actually remember to take pictures of it. I'm sorry if I ruined anyones dreams.

The trailer obsession

I've recently decided to purchase a vintage trailer. So I've been obsessing about it for the last week; researching various models, vintage groups, how to actually remodel one etc.. I remembered seeing one on my drive to work. Yep, sure enough there it was in all of its broke down glory. So I decide to leave a note at the door after work. I got a call later that evening from a very enthusiastic seller. Apparently he was looking to get rid of it and move to another city. All the cards are now falling into place. I will buy it some time this month and have Desiree or Peter tow it for me. My dream is coming true. I will sell all my crap, pack up my jewelry stuff and my cats and travel the country selling jewelry and exploring the terrain.
